Your private driver will greet you at Shanghai’s airport or train station and transfer you comfortably to your hotel. Settle in, rest up, and prepare for the adventures ahead. If you arrive early, you can enjoy free leisure time, such as strolling along The Bund and sampling Shanghai’s local cuisine on Nanjing Road.

After breakfast, your driver and guide will collect you from the hotel. Today we explore Yu Garden, Nanjing Road and The Bund, then wander through timeless Qibao Ancient Town to experience authentic Jiangnan water-town charm.

• Yu Garden — A classical Jiangnan garden featuring exquisite pavilions, rockeries and ancient Chinese architecture.
• Nanjing Road — Shanghai’s iconic bustling shopping street blending century-old shops and modern commerce.
• The Bund — A famed waterfront promenade lined with magnificent historic colonial buildings along Huangpu River.
• Qibao Ancient Town —  timeless water township woven with winding stone lanes, arched bridges and fragrant traditional local delicacies, preserving the enchanting charm of old Shanghai.

Your Shanghai driver picks you up at the hotel and transfers you to the airport to fly to Zhangjiajie. After landing in the land of ethereal peaks, your local driver will welcome you and take you to your hotel. Enjoy free time this evening: admire the outdoor 72 Wonders Light Show and taste authentic traditional local cuisine.

• Fly from Train to zhangjiajie — Board the flight after lunch and arrive in the fairyland of towering quartz peaks, Zhangjiajie, by evening.

Spend the full day exploring Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, the real-world inspiration for Avatar. Ride the iconic Bailong Elevator and wander Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, surrounded by towering sandstone peaks that resemble the floating Hallelujah Mountains.

• Zhangjiajie National Forest Park — A UNESCO World Natural Heritage site blessed with thousands of jagged stone pinnacles, a timeless masterpiece sculpted by nature over millennia.
• Bailong Elevator — The world’s tallest outdoor cliff elevator, a marvelous integration of modern engineering and primeval mountain wilderness.
• Avatar Mountains — The earthly prototype of Pandora’s floating peaks, where towering quartz sandstone pillars emerge from mist, resembling an ancient Chinese ink landscape painting.
• Yuanjiajie — Home to the legendary Avatar Hallelujah Mountain. Towering quartz sandstone spires emerge from drifting mist, forming an ethereal scene identical to ancient Chinese ink paintings.

Take time to rest and restore energy in the morning. Your guide will escort you to discover the wonders of Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park in the afternoon.

• Tianmen Mountain — Famous as the Gateway to Heaven. A gigantic natural cave pierces the mountain ridge, shrouded in drifting mist to form an ethereal fairyland.

Your driver will transfer you to the railway station for the two-hour high-speed train ride to Chongqing. You will have free time upon arrival. 

• High-Speed Train to Chongqing — Your guide meets you at  Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and transfers you to your hotel.

Today, we will tour Ciqikou Ancient Town to watch Sichuan Opera Face-Changing, wander Eighteen Stairs, view the famous monorail running through the building at Liziba Station. You may also take the Yangtze River长江索道重新介绍一下。 Cableway or enjoy the drone light show if performances are scheduled.

• Ciqikou Ancient Town: A well-preserved ancient town by the Jialing River. You can watch wonderful Sichuan Opera Face-Changing and taste various local snacks.
•  Eighteen Stairs: A characteristic terraced neighbourhood that showcases the original mountain-city charm of Chongqing.
• Liziba Station: Famous for its unique view of the monorail travelling directly through a residential building.
• Yangtze River Cableway: Nicknamed Chongqing’s "aerial bus". Glide above the Yangtze River and enjoy panoramic bird’s-eye views of the layered mountain city landscape. 

Take a flight from Chongqing to Beijing. Your driver and guide will welcome you upon arrival at the airport, and then you will embark on a visit to Tiananmen Square and the Palace Museum.

• Tiananmen Square & The Palace Museum — The unparalleled imperial heart of China. Within its towering vermilion walls lies centuries of imperial history. Magnificent palaces stretch endlessly, bearing witness to the rise and fall of dynasties and preserving the everlasting grandeur of ancient Chinese civilisation.

Journey to Mutianyu Great Wall, where round-trip cable car rides are included. Return to central Beijing in the afternoon and wander through the timeless landscapes of the Summer Palace.

Evening recommend : wandering time-honoured Beijing hutongs to sample local street food, or savouring world-famous Peking Duck, the signature delicacy of the ancient capital.

• Mutianyu Great Wall — Snaking atop rolling mountain ridges, this mighty defensive rampart embodies ancient China’s extraordinary engineering prowess.
• The Summer Palace — An exquisite imperial garden woven with lakes, pavilions and winding corridors, a masterpiece of traditional Chinese landscape design.

We’ve explored modern Shanghai, dreamlike Zhangjiajie, layered Chongqing and historic Beijing. This 10-day adventure blends stunning nature and timeless Chinese culture. Though our trip concludes, these wonderful memories will stay with you.
